Scallywags Model Agency represents new born babies all the way through to older teenagers and families for work in advertising, photographic lifestyle and fashion and television commercials. We are also involved in castings for film and television drama.
Scallywags started as family run business which began trading in 1984. Over the years the Agency has grown to be one of the most well known and popular Agencies for children, teenagers and families in the UK.
Scallywags track record of over twenty five successful years in the business has proven that we are quite adept at choosing the right babies, children and teenagers for the right jobs. Having worked with most of the top advertising agencies, photographers, editorial magazines, fashion and production companies Scallywags have not only earned their clients respect over the years but also joined them in producing many successful and well known campaigns.
How to Apply
To apply to Scallywags first of all you need to register. You can do this by simply selecting register at the top of the page. Once you have selected a username and password, you will be guided through to enter your child’s details and upload some photos.
From here a member of our Scallywags team will assess your application and will be in touch via email. All of our applications receive a response.
If your child is successful with their application, you will then be prompted to publish your Scallywags web page, which will then go live onto our website for our clients to view.

Your child will be seen on the Scallywags online database which is continually updated in real time.

As Child and Teenage Talent Agents our main priority is to make sure you and your child are taken care of throughout the whole process… From joining up, to your first audition and on to your very first job.

On a daily basis our clients are looking for the right children for their advertising campaigns.

Job Board Explained
Your child will still be looked after and monitored by one of the Agency Bookers on a regular basis.
One of our new additions to the site is the Job Board.
Subscribed users can take advantage of our ‘nudge’ button. Whilst browsing through our job board you can express your interest for a certain role at the click of a button. Your child’s record will immediately appear in front of the booker working on that job.

Q. What is Scallywags Agency?
A. Scallywags Agency is a child model and talent agency that sources talent from scallywags.co.uk to place children in TV adverts and photographic jobs every day.
Q. How can I tell if I am joining a good and reputable Agency?
A. The length of time an Agency has been established is usually an indication of their reliability. Obviously you would expect a better track record from an Agency which has been successfully placing children in jobs for years compared to an Agency which may have only been in operation for a few months to a couple of years. Check our Twitter feed for the latest campaigns we have been involved in.
Q. Can you tell me how many jobs I can expect in a year?
A. This is an impossible question to answer as each model's work rate is reliant on many different factors. Some models "hit it off" quicker than others and seem to secure every job for which they are auditioned. Others take a little longer to warm up and yet once they do there is sometimes no stopping them. A great deal depends on which look and what age group the client requires for the job. But always remember some of our biggest "stars" are just normal kids having fun and enjoying themselves.
Q. How much can I earn?
A. Jobs can pay anything between £120 for a 2hr photo shoot to several thousands of pounds for a high profile advertising campaign. The budget for each job will be emailed to you along with the booking confirmation.
Q. How will I know when a client is interested in me?
A. The agency will contact you by telephone and email to provide you with the details of your booking. Please note, that the agency will contact you only when we have a definite booking for you. The agency is simply too busy to contact models if a client has only expressed an interest in the model or if the agency is in the negotiation stage of the booking.
Q. Is there a fee to be represented by your agency?
A. No. We do not charge fees for representation. We earn the standard agency commission on work models perform through our agency. While there are no fees to be represented by our agency there is a charge of £199 to appear on the website and make use of all of its functions.
Q. I have my own website, can't you just tell clients to see me there?
A. No. It would be extremely unprofessional of our agency, and time-consuming for our clients, to be directed to dozens of individual websites to find the right model for the job. In addition, our agency must maintain control over the quality of photos and the manner in which our models our represented. By allowing models to use individual websites, we would be unable to maintain quality control. Clients want to book models quickly from an established and professional agency. Our website is accessed 24 hours a day by advertising agencies, magazine editors, photographers, stylists, clothing manufacturers and casting directors.
Q. Who will take the photographs for my folio?
A. Most models start out by using home snapshots. Once you get bookings for jobs you can use the resulting images. If you would like to supplement your profile with a professional shots please enquire with the agency.
Q. Will my personal details be visible?
A. Your contact details will only be visible to Scallywags Agency. Clients will be able to view your photographs and bio.
Q. What age groups do you represent?
A. We represent children from new born to 18 years old.
Q. Does it matter where I live?
A. You can live anywhere in the UK. Scallywags Agency works on jobs around the country. Notable media hubs are London, Manchester and Birmingham.
Q. I don’t want my real name to be used.
A. That is fine. We understand the need for privacy. Just use a stage name when filling out your details or, in your profile edit page. Please make sure to let the agency know your real name so we can make payments to you after a job.
Q. Is Scallywags Agency a sole agency.
A. Yes, but you can be registered with theatre groups that have an agency division, we do ask that you keep us informed of any dates that you are unavailable for work to avoid double bookings.
Q. When do auditions and jobs take place?
A. The majority of work takes place Monday to Friday, and it is important that you keep us up to date with your unavailability dates throughout the year.
Occasionally clients will hold Auditions or Shoots on the weekend so keep that in mind when giving us your unavailability dates.
School age children will be seen for Auditions between 4 and 6pm in order not to conflict with school. However, shoots can take place any time during the day.
Pre-school children will generally be seen earlier on in the day as clients want to see your child at their best.
Regardless of age all auditions tend to be very short notice, you will usually be contacted the day before any job so you need to be as flexible as possible.
